Our Events

Thank you to all who came out to the Open on July 29th! We had 105 golfers at Cinnabar Hills for a very hot, quick moving 18-hole scramble and raised over $65,000! Thank you to our designated drivers (Clair, Michelle, Isabel and Isabelle), donors and raffle prize donors, foursome hosts, speakers, and our hole sponsors. Finally, we would like to extend a special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor EY and our Hosting Sponsors NCGA Youth on Course, PwC, and Jersey Mike's. Save the date for 2017: Friday, June 23rd! Pictures are on Facebook

Our Impact

One of the ways that The First Tee of Silicon Valley impacts the lives of youth is to give them exposure to the world of work. SAP recently hosted 30+ older participants for a field trip to one of their Palo Alto locations. Our youth learned about “Design Thinking” and from 14 SAP mentors, who shared their career journeys. Thanks, SAP! Read more about the field trip on our website.

Our Supporters

On Friday July 24th,  DeLaveaga Golf Course in Santa Cruz hosted the annual Big D Memorial Golf Tournament. The golfers attended to remember Dennis “Big D” Kettmann. The tournament is a special one for The First Tee of Silicon Valley because the proceeds of the tournament provide a college scholarship. This year Juan Pablo and Ralph, two of our outstanding participants, were joint recipients. Read Juan Pablo's reflection here.
